The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, also called as Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT), is one of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each.  It is a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

CSAT paper consists of 80 questions of multiple choice on Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical reasoning & analytical ability, Decision making & problem solving, General mental ability, Basic numeracy (numbers & their relations, orders of magnitude), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency).
